DEPASS Data Harmonization Writing Retreat, August 2024

The DEPASS writing retreat, focused on developing Data Harmonization Procedures, concluded successfully after a three-day session from August 26th till 28th in the scenic town of Luso, Portugal.
It was an intensive brainstorming and collaborative session attended by Sara Pereira, Eduarda Sousa-Sá, António Silva and António Palmeira.
The retreat aimed at streamlining the process of data harmonization and creating standard protocols to ensure consistency across various data collection methods and sources. It offered an invaluable opportunity for these experts to discuss, debate and devise strategies for improved data handling procedures.
The multi-disciplinary team brought together their collective knowledge and expertise to address the challenges in data harmonization. The outcome of this retreat is now being evaluated by the DEPASS leadership team, and should be presented in its latest form in Olomouc next October 14-16, 2024.
