MOVE4FUN - Multiplier Event

CIDEFES organized an international seminar on “Evidence-based digital solutions for the sustained promotion of physically active lifestyles” on January 24, 2023 in Oeiras. This seminar also served as a multiplier event for one of CIDEFES’ European projects, the MOVE4FUN Erasmus+ Project.

To begin, a panel of specialists from sectors related to health (Prof. Marlene Nunes Silva, Directorate-General of Health; CIDEFES), education (Prof. João Martins, Portuguese Society for Physical Education), and research (Prof. António Palmeira, ISBNPA; CIDEFES) discussed cost-effectiveness, good practices, and digital interventions.

A keynote and round table of MOVE4FUN researchers (Prof. Lúcia Gomes, Prof. Hugo Pereira and Prof. Diogo Teixeira, CIDEFES; Prof. Malgorzata Slawinska, Poland Institute of Sport; Prof. Marco Flores, Eunik/CUICUI; Prof. Paul Davis, Umeå University) further discussed these issues in the context of MOVE4FUN. They presented and debated project goals and how evidence is being used to build practice.

A final round table, at a policy level, was held to discuss “Can physical activity promotion in adolescents be made through digitalization? The search for an active virtual/digital path” with representatives of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (Prof. Paulo Rocha), Secretariat of State of Youth and Sport (Prof. Nuno Laurentino), and Comité Olímpico Português (Maria Machado). This round table was chaired by Professors Antonio Palmeira and Bruno Rosa.
