SUNRISE Portugal: Outcome of the Research Fellowship Selection Procedure
2026-05-15
As part of the selection procedure for the award of a Research Fellowship within the project SUNRISE Portugal – Study of 24-Hour Movement Behaviours in Early Childhood, hosted by CIDEFES – Universidade Lusófona, Lisbon Campus, the appointed jury met on 13 May 2026 to assess the submitted applications.
The call received three applications. Following the review of the submitted documentation, one application was not admitted due to insufficient documentation, while two candidates were admitted to the interview stage.
The curricular assessment was based on criteria related to academic background, degree classification, experience in physical and motor assessment, experience with accelerometers, and experience in data handling.
During the interview stage, one of the admitted candidates withdrew from the application process before the interview. The remaining candidate attended the interview but stated that she would not be available to participate in the study between July and October 2026, a period considered essential for the implementation of the project.
In light of the results, the jury unanimously concluded that none of the candidates met the necessary conditions to fulfil the requirements of the SUNRISE Portugal project. The jury therefore recommended the opening of a new call for the award of the fellowship.
CIDEFES thanks all candidates for their interest and informs that a new selection procedure will be opened to ensure the proper implementation of the activities planned within the project.
