Building on the expertise of the consortium partners as early adopters and creators of AI tools in HEIs, this project aims to achieve the following objectives:
1) Enhance teachers' competence, motivation, and opportunity to successfully incorporate AI tools into their teaching methods - this will be achieved through the development of a comprehensive training course;
2) Ensure effective transfer and dissemination of the acquired knowledge.
Implementation: What activities are you going to implement?
1 - Access AI proficiency in four HEIs, to inform the training course development and implementation
2 - Design, develop, and implement an AI proficiency course for 100 HE teachers in 4 countries
3 - Pilot test the use of the course’s AI tools in a sub-sample of 20 teachers and their students for a semester
4 - Create a Transferability Toolkit and disseminate the results: an open-access toolkit will be created, including the Walter+ training course and an AI teaching in HE Handbook
Results: What project results and other outcomes do you expect your project to have?
1- State of the Art Analysis Report: reflects the situation of AI usage in European HEIs, the teacher’s level of AI digital skills, and the training needs for this target.
2- Educators Training Course on AI in Education: based on the report, a training course will be designed and imparted to 100 teachers, and a pilot test will be organized, benefitting 400 students.
3- Open AI Toolkit for educators: conformed by a comprehensive handbook, the compressed training course, and the Walter+ tool
